· Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
· He is the first world leader to address the UNGA session, which began at 6.30 pm Indian Standard Time (IST).
· The theme of the 2021 UN General Assembly session is '’Building Resilience through Hope - Recovering from COVID-19, Rebuilding Sustainably, Responding to the Needs of the Planet, Respecting People's Rights and Revitalizing the United Nations'’.
· Modi last addressed the UNGA session in 2019.
