The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has introduced a structured annual contract system for domestic cricketers starting from the 2026–27 season.
Players will be placed in Grade A (₹12–20 lakh), Grade B (₹8–12 lakh), and Grade C (₹8 lakh) categories.
Eligibility is limited to players not in the Indian team or IPL in the last two seasons, with strict fitness and selection norms.
The move aims to provide financial stability and professionalise the domestic cricket ecosystem.
