  • The Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, has partnered with Femina Miss India for the initiative “Vishwa Sutra – Weaves of India for the World”.
  • State and UT winners will showcase exclusive handloom ensembles inspired by regional weaves like Varanasi Brocade, Kanchipuram, Patola, Pashmina, and others during the grand finale.
  • The collaboration aims to promote Indian handlooms globally, enhance visibility among youth and fashion stakeholders, and support sustainable livelihoods for over 35 lakh weavers.
  • It aligns with the vision of “Handloom as Heritage, Handloom as Future” and the 5F framework (Farm to Fibre to Fashion to Foreign).
