The Government of India has appointed Vinodanand Jha, a retired IRS officer of the 1983 batch, as the Chairman of the Adjudicating Authority of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) based in the national capital.
Jha has been serving as the Member (Finance and Accounts) in the Authority since September 2018.
His appointment to this post was made after retiring from the post of Principal Chief Commissioner, Income Tax from Pune.
According to the order issued by the Union Finance Ministry on January 20, Vinodanand Jha will hold this post as the chairman till June 2022.
