The World Air Quality Report 2025 by IQAir ranks Pakistan as the most polluted country, followed by Bangladesh and Tajikistan, while India ranks sixth. The report is based on PM2.5 data from over 40,000 monitoring stations across 143 countries.
Uttar Pradesh’s Loni is the most polluted city globally, with Delhi ranking fourth. Only 9% of countries meet WHO standards. The findings highlight worsening air pollution and its severe health impacts, especially on children, urging stronger global and national measures to control emissions.
