VK Bhawra has been appointed the new Punjab DGP.
CM Charanjit Channi has approved his appointment.
The 1987-batch IPS officer is the third DGP in the state in a span of three months. He has been appointed to the top post for a minimum period of two years from the date of assumption of office.
He has replaced Siddharth Chattopadhyay.
