Vice Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi appointed as the next Chief of the Naval Staff, effective from April 30, 2024.
He currently serves as the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff.
Vice Admiral Tripathi was born on May 15, 1964.
Commissioned into the Indian Navy's Executive Branch on July 01, 1985.
Previously served as Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command.
Commanded Indian Naval Ships Vinash, Kirch, and Trishul.
Holds various operational and staff appointments including Assistant Chief of Naval Staff and Commandant of the Indian Naval Academy.
