Iran has appointed Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr as head of its Supreme National Security Council after Ali Larijani was killed in a regional conflict. Zolghadr, a former Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander, brings strong security experience. The council plays a crucial role in defence and foreign policy decisions.
His appointment comes amid escalating tensions involving Israel and the United States. It reflects Iran’s attempt to maintain stability and continuity in governance during a period of political and military crisis.
