On World Tuberculosis Day, the Ministry of Ayush and Department of Biotechnology announced a collaborative clinical study on using Ayurveda as an adjunct therapy for tuberculosis treatment. The announcement was made by Jitendra Singh and Prataprao Jadhav at Vigyan Bhawan.
The study aims to evaluate the safety, efficacy, and tolerability of Ayurveda alongside standard anti-TB treatment. It focuses on improving recovery, nutrition, and quality of life. This initiative highlights India’s push for evidence-based integration of traditional medicine with modern science to strengthen TB elimination efforts.
