  • Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi launched the second phase of India chana dal retailing in Delhi-NCR, with chana dal and chana whole available at affordable prices of ₹70/kg and ₹58/kg respectively. Moong and masoor dal are also available under India brand.
  • The government has implemented several measures to ensure the availability of essential food items, including duty-free import of pulses by 2025 and an increase in MSP for domestic production, leading to a fall in pulses prices since July 2024.
