  • The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) announced on 26th February 2026 a major collaboration with Google Maps to help residents locate verified Aadhaar Centres nationwide. This initiative will make over 60,000 centres, including modern Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs), visible on Google Maps, ensuring access to authentic Aadhaar services without confusion.
  • Residents will be able to see verified centres, available services such as adult or child enrolment and updates, operating hours, accessibility features, and parking details. UIDAI aims to reduce misinformation, improve public trust, and enhance service transparency.
  • In the next phase, Google Business Profile will enable real-time updates and feedback management for Aadhaar Centres. Future plans include direct appointment booking via Google Maps, allowing residents to search services, check timings, and schedule visits efficiently.
  • Sh. Bhuvnesh Kumar (UIDAI CEO) and Ms. Roli Agarwal (Google India) highlighted this collaboration as a step toward seamless, citizen-friendly digital governance.
