  • On the occasion of World Tourism Day (27th September), the Ministry of Tourism has launched a National Responsible Tourism Initiative called Paryatan Mitra and Paryatan Didi.
  • The main objective of this initiative is to improve the overall experience of tourists in the destinations, introducing them to 'tourist-friendly' people who are proud ambassadors and storytellers to their destination.
  • In this initiative, special focus is being given to training for women and youth, so that they can develop heritage walks, food tours and other tourism products. Along with this, digital literacy training is also being given so that their experiences can be easily explored for tourists.
