NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are slated to pilot Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft on a mission to the International Space Station (ISS), marking Williams's return to the ISS after 12 years, underscoring the significance of this Crew Flight Test in advancing US space exploration capabilities.
With a flexible launch target set for May 6th, the upcoming mission represents a pivotal step for NASA in ensuring continuous crew transport to the ISS, as Boeing’s Starliner aims to complement SpaceX’s Crew Dragon in maintaining a robust presence of astronauts aboard the orbiting laboratory, as affirmed by NASA Administrator Bill Nelson.
