The Central Government has named Parag Jain, a 1989-batch IPS officer from the Punjab cadre, as the new head of India’s external intelligence agency, RAW. Jain, currently heading the Aviation Research Centre, played a vital role in Operation Sindoor by delivering key intelligence for precision strikes on terror targets. He will take charge from July 1 for a fixed two-year tenure, succeeding Ravi Sinha.
