Vipin Kumar, a 1996 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, took over as the chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Monday.
Kumar was earlier Additional Secretary in the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.
During his appointment in Bihar, he worked as District Magistrate in several districts of the state.
He was also the Chairman of Bihar Bridge Construction Corporation, Managing Director of Bihar Milk Cooperative Union (SUDHA) and Director of Mid-Day Scheme-Bihar.
