  • 23-year-old Sarah Gill made history by becoming the first transgender doctor of Pakistan.
  • Sara has managed to pass the final examination of MBBS from Karachi University.
  • Sara also runs the NGO Gender Interactive Alliance.
  • In recent years, there have been empowerment measures for the transgender population in Pakistan. Their registration as transgender citizens has been started. A special law has been made in 2018 to protect their rights and prevent discrimination.
