The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Deepak Kumar and Ajay Kumar Choudhary as new executive directors (ED) of RBI.

As Executive Director, Ajay Kumar will look after the Foreign Exchange Department, Communications and Deposit Insurance Department, and Credit Guarantee Corporation.

Ajay Kumar Choudhary, who is also an alumnus of Delhi University, will look after the risk monitoring, fintech, and oversight departments of RBI.

Prior to being promoted as ED, Deepak Kumar was heading the department of information technology of RBI, while Ajay Choudhary was Chief General Manager-in-Charge, Department of Supervision.
