  • Rakesh Mohan, former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has been appointed as a member of the World Bank Group's Economic Advisory Panel, chaired by Lord Nicholas Stern and co-chaired by World Bank Group Chief Economist Indermit Gill.
  • Mohan brings extensive experience to the panel, having served in prestigious roles such as Executive Director on the board of the International Monetary Fund, Economic Affairs Secretary and Chief Economic Adviser in India's Finance Ministry, and Economic Adviser in the Industry Ministry.
  • Currently, Rakesh Mohan holds the position of President Emeritus and Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP), a prominent think tank based in New Delhi.
