PM virtually inaugurated the 120 MW Lower Kopili Hydroelectric Project in Assam
It is a run-of-river project located in West Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao districts
Developed by Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL)
Funded by the Asian Development Bank under the Assam Power Sector Investment Program
Kopili River is the largest south bank tributary of the Brahmaputra; total length 256 km
Project supports India's clean energy and renewable energy goals
