  • The 110th Network Planning Group (NPG) meeting evaluated six transformative projects to enhance India's multimodal connectivity. In the railway sector, doubling the Arakkonam–Chengalpattu line (68 km) will de-congest the Chennai Division, while quadrupling the Whitefield–Bangarpet section (47 km) will create dedicated corridors for freight like steel and cement.
  • Urban mobility gets a boost with Mumbai Metro Line 11, a 17.4 km underground route to the Gateway of India, and Pune Metro extensions (16.6 km) linking eastern hubs. Additionally, the Badnawar–Timarwani highway will link MP’s textile parks, while the Fotu La Tunnel ensures all-weather access to Ladakh.
