Natco Pharma has announced its decision to invest approximately ₹2,000 crore ($226 million) to acquire nearly 36% equity in South Africa’s leading pharmaceutical firm Adcock Ingram Holdings Ltd. The acquisition will be made through an all-cash deal targeting minority shareholders and is aimed at boosting Natco’s footprint in the African market. The company’s stock closed 2.01% higher at ₹1,034.75 on the BSE following the announcement.
