Kerala's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the 'KaWaCHaM' early warning system, integrating 126 sirens and 93 emergency centres to provide alerts via SMS, social media, and sirens.
The KaWaCHaM system, developed by KSDMA with support from NDMA and the World Bank, aims to enhance Kerala's disaster management capabilities under the National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project.
