  • Eminent Pandit Munna Shukla of Lucknow Gharana passed away at his Delhi residence after a brief illness. 
  • He was 78 years old.
  • The most famous works of Pt Munna Shukla include the dance-drama Shaan-e-Mughal, Inder Sabha, Amir Khusro, Anga Mukti, Anvesha, Bahar, Tratak, Krauncha Dam, Dhuni, etc.
  • He has been awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (2006), Sahitya Kala Parishad Award (2003) and Saraswati Samman (2011) for her contribution to the world of dance.
