Eminent Pandit Munna Shukla of Lucknow Gharana passed away at his Delhi residence after a brief illness.
He was 78 years old.
The most famous works of Pt Munna Shukla include the dance-drama Shaan-e-Mughal, Inder Sabha, Amir Khusro, Anga Mukti, Anvesha, Bahar, Tratak, Krauncha Dam, Dhuni, etc.
He has been awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (2006), Sahitya Kala Parishad Award (2003) and Saraswati Samman (2011) for her contribution to the world of dance.
