International Dance Day is celebrated annually on April 29th. It was established by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI), the main partner for the performing arts of UNESCO.
The day aims to promote the art of dance around the world and to encourage participation and education in dance.
This year, the message for 2024 is by Marianela Núñez, a renowned Argentine-British ballet dancer.
