The Indian Navy’s first indigenously designed and built Survey Vessel Large, INS Sandhayak, docked at Port Klang, Malaysia, from July 16–19, 2025. The visit is part of India’s commitment to regional hydrographic cooperation and capacity building. Commissioned in February 2024, the vessel is equipped for deep-sea and coastal surveys, oceanographic research, and search-and-rescue operations, and features an onboard helicopter with hospital facilities.
