G Ashok Kumar, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Jal Shakti, has been appointed as the new Director-General of the National Mission for Clean Ganga.
G Ashok Kumar is a 1991 batch officer of the Telangana cadre of the Indian Administrative Service.
Prior to this, he has also worked in many important positions like Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, and Director in the Ministry of Power.
