  • Former cricketer and former president of Cricket Australia (CA) Jack Clarke has passed away.
  • He was 70 years old.
  • According to the Australian Cricket Board, he died in Adelaide. Clarke served on the Australian Cricket Board from 1999 to 2011 and was the CA president for the last three years of his tenure.
  • The Big Bash League was launched during his tenure as president from 2008 to 2011. CA's high performance wing was reshaped when he reviewed the Australian team following the 2010–11 home Ashes series defeat.
  • He also served as a director of the South Australian Cricket Association for 21 years and was made an Honorary Life Member of SACA in 2012.
