Portuguese forward Diogo Jota, aged 28 and playing for Liverpool, tragically died in a car accident near Zamora in northwestern Spain. A Porto-born talent, Jota advanced through Gil’s ranks and had stints with Atlético Madrid, Porto (loan), Wolves (loan and permanent) before joining Liverpool, known for his sharp finishing.
