The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully completed User Evaluation Trials of the next-generation Akash-NG missile system. During the trials, the missile intercepted aerial targets across varied ranges and altitudes, including near-boundary low-altitude and long-range high-altitude scenarios. Equipped with an indigenous radio frequency seeker and solid rocket motor, Akash-NG enhances India’s air defence capabilities. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised DRDO, the Indian Air Force, and industry for this milestone in strengthening national security.
