On July 14, DRDO’s Defence Research & Development Laboratory (DRDL) and AIIMS Bibinagar launched India’s first cost-effective, indigenously developed advanced Carbon Fibre Foot Prosthesis. The device, called ADIDOC (AIIMS Bibinagar – DRDL Indigenously Developed Optimised Carbon Foot), marks a major milestone under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The prosthesis was jointly unveiled by Dr GA Srinivasa Murthy (Director, DRDL) and Dr Ahanthem Santa Singh (Executive Director, AIIMS Bibinagar).
