appointed former judge Najmi Waziri as chairman to set up an internal departmental committee to protect Delhi's forests.
This committee aims to take concrete steps for the protection, conservation, restoration and enhancement of forests.
The Committee has been directed to take concrete steps for the protection, conservation, reclamation, and enhancement of protected and deemed forests.
Along with this, the objective of the committee is also to ensure coordination between various government departments.
The committee headed by Justice Waziri has been formed after other agencies failed to collect the necessary documents and records.
The aim is to increase the seriousness of government departments towards forest protection in time.
