  • The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) will unveil SWIFT 2.0 and the revamped Atithi App during International Customs Day 2026 celebrations. Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary will preside over the event, joined by senior revenue officials.
  • SWIFT 2.0, the upgraded Single Window Interface for Facilitating Trade, offers a single-window digital platform for imports and exports, faster electronic clearance, integration with the Customs Integrated System (CIS), and reduced documentation delays. It aims to boost transparency, trust, and ease of doing business.
  • The Atithi App upgrade will simplify customs clearance for international travellers through digital self-declaration of baggage, faster airport processing, and improved transparency for personal imports.
  • CBIC will also host a National Symposium on customs reforms, highlighting digital governance, courier and export reforms, and personal import regulations, showcasing India’s move toward a modern, efficient, and digitally-enabled customs ecosystem.
