India's leading stock exchnage BSE announced that it has appointed Sundararaman Ramamurthy as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 4, 2023.
The new MD and CEO's appointment has been announced by the BSE after market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) approved the proposal.
Ramamurthy has worked for over 20 years at NSE.
The top position at the bourse has been vacant since July after Ashishkumar Chauhan resigned to join the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Chauhan was appointed as MD and CEO of the NSE in July itself.
