20-year-old Ayush Shetty made history by winning the US Open 2025—becoming the first Indian to claim a BWF World Tour title this season after defeating Canada’s Brian Yang 21-18, 21-13 in the final. His victory followed a sensational semifinal win against World No. 6 Chou Tien Chen. Tanvi Sharma also performed well, finishing runner-up in the women's category.
