On July 16, 2025, the Indian Army successfully tested the upgraded ‘Akash Prime’ air defense system in high-altitude areas of Ladakh (above 4,500 meters), neutralizing two high-speed aerial targets. The system includes an indigenously developed Radio Frequency (RF) seeker and various operational upgrades based on user feedback.
