The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced the inclusion of Airtel Payments Bank in the second schedule of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
A bank mentioned in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India Act is known as ''Scheduled Commercial Bank''.
Airtel Payments Bank can now serve both urban and rural customers with its solution.
The bank currently remains one of the fastest-growing banks in the country with over 115 million customers and over 8 million merchants.
