Amir Subhani, an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch, has been named the state's new Chief Secretary by the Bihar government.
He will succeed Tripurari Sharan, who is stepping down as Chief Secretary.
Amir Subhani will continue to serve as the development commissioner of the state till April 2024.
Subhani will assume command on January 1st, according to a statement from the General Administration Department.
