World Human Rights Day is celebrated every year on 10 December.
December 10 is celebrated as Human Rights Day across the world to commemorate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.
Under this, the Universal Human Rights Declaration was officially recognized by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948.
The main organizing venue of this day in India is New Delhi.
Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar is the chief guest of this day.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in India is an independent statutory body.
It was established on October 12, 1993 under the provisions of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993.
