Sujeet Kalkal and Abhimanyou Mandwal won gold medals in freestyle at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Bishkek.
Kalkal defeated Uzbekistan’s Umidjon Jalolov 8-1 in the 65kg final (first Indian gold in category since 2019).
Mandwal beat Mongolia’s Olympian Tomor Ochiryn Tulga 5-3 in the 70kg category.
India secured a total of 14 medals: 2 Gold, 4 Silver, 8 Bronze.
