Armand Duplantis and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone have been named World Athletes of the Year at the World Athletics Awards in Monaco. Duplantis dominated 2025 with four pole vault world records, including a historic 6.30m clearance, remaining unbeaten across 16 events. McLaughlin-Levrone also enjoyed an undefeated season, becoming 400m world champion with a stunning 47.78 sec run, the second-fastest ever. Other winners included Nicola Olyslagers, Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Maria Perez, and Sabastian Sawe for their exceptional performances across field, track, and road events.
