The World Health Organization (WHO) and India’s Ministry of AYUSH held a two-day Technical Project Meeting in New Delhi to integrate Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani systems into the International Classification of Health Interventions (ICHI). The initiative, stemming from a May 2025 MoU, aims to standardize traditional medicine codes, ensuring global recognition, scientific credibility, and evidence-based adoption. Experts from WHO regions and member states collaborated to harmonize intervention descriptions, promoting inclusive, safe, and globally interoperable healthcare.
