The 56th International Film Festival of India concluded with Vietnamese feature “Skin of Youth” winning the Golden Peacock Award for Best Film. Directed by Ashleigh Mayfair, the film explores transgender identity and love in 1990s Saigon, earning praise for its emotional depth and visuals. Norway’s “Safe House” received the ICFT–UNESCO Gandhi Medal, while debut directors from Iran and Estonia were also honoured. Performers Ubeimar Rios and Jara Sofija Ostan won Silver Peacocks. The festival celebrated global cinema, cultural heritage, and emerging talent.
