The United States and Rwanda have entered a $228 million, five-year partnership combining $158 million in U.S. funding and $70 million from Rwanda. The agreement focuses on tackling HIV, malaria, disease surveillance, outbreak preparedness, and boosting Rwanda’s drone-delivery and digital health systems. Rwanda is now the second country, after Kenya, to adopt the U.S. “America First” global health aid model.
