Union Minister of Power, Manohar Lal, virtually inaugurated the second 250 MW unit of the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project on the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border. The project, with eight units, is expected to generate over 7,400 million units of renewable electricity annually. The minister highlighted its role in strengthening the national grid, supporting North-East India’s growth, and advancing India’s Net Zero goals, marking a significant step toward a clean and sustainable energy future.
