Union Environment Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav led the Wildlife Week 2025 celebrations in Dehradun, themed “Human–Wildlife Coexistence.” The event, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) along with the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) and Forest Research Institute (FRI), marked the launch of five national projects on species conservation and conflict management, including Project Dolphin (Phase II) and the Centre of Excellence for Human–Wildlife Conflict Management (CoE–HWC). The Minister also released four national action plans and field guides for wildlife population monitoring.
