Legendary American guitarist and founder of punk rock band Television Tom Verlaine has died at the age of 73.
The famous American guitarist and songwriter rose to prominence in the 1970s as the founder of the punk rock band Television.
His childhood name was Thomas Miller.
Miller adopted the stage name Tom Verlaine as a tribute to the famous French symbolist poet Paul Verlaine.
Verlaine's unique style of playing guitar and intricate melodies earned him recognition and respect as a pioneering figure in the punk rock genre.
