Indian long jumper Murali Sreeshankar made a strong comeback by winning the men’s long jump at the Indian Athletics Series 2026 with a leap of 8.15 metres at Kanteerava Stadium. This is his best performance after knee surgery in 2024, which caused him to miss the Paris Olympics.
He was the only athlete to cross the 8-metre mark. In women’s long jump, Ancy Sojan won with 6.54m, followed closely by Shaili Singh (6.52m). Sreeshankar’s victory signals his return to form ahead of future competitions.
