South Africa announced the creation of an innovative new Trusted Tour Operator Scheme (TTOS), the initial focus of which will be on the emerging tourism markets of India and China.
The scheme, to come into effect from January 2025, will reform the visa system and "boost" job creation in the tourism sector.
TTOS will remove some of the major obstacles in South Africa's path to becoming a preferred tourist destination for the world's second and fifth-largest economies.
