Indian shooter Samrat Rana has created history by winning the gold medal in the men’s 10m air pistol event at the 2025 ISSF World Shooting Championship. The event, held in Cairo, Egypt, saw Rana narrowly defeat China’s Hu Kai by just 0.4 points, scoring 243.7 against Hu Kai’s 243.3. The 20-year-old trained under his father’s guidance and had earlier won two gold medals at the 2022 Junior World Championship. In the same event, India’s Varun Tomar also secured the bronze medal, marking a proud moment for Indian shooting sports.
