Lund University, Sweden, has secured the No. 1 position in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026, overtaking the University of Toronto, now ranked second. University College London stands third. The 2026 edition evaluates 2,000+ universities across 106 locations, with the US leading in representation, followed by China, the UK and India. India features 103 institutions, led by IIT Delhi at rank 205. The rankings highlight global progress toward ESG goals as universities intensify efforts to advance sustainability and SDG commitments.
